YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK - BIRDS

There are so many different varieties of birds in Yellowstone. It was surprising to see birds like the blue heron and the sandhill crane - because I see those all the time in Florida, where they are native.
The cream-of-the-crop - A Bald Eagle This is an amazing sighting. A pair of Peregrine Falcons.
The female is on the left on her egg. The male
kept flying in to bring her eats! No nest, they were
just in a crack in the side of a mountain. Osprey.
Blue Heron.
One of my favorites - a Magpie.

Magpies have a beautiful blue spot on the back of their wings.
A fishing osprey.
An osprey nest high up on a rock.

A different osprey nest. Ravens are everywhere (tap, tap, tap).
A sandhill crane.

Location, location, location.  The cabins inside of Yellowstone
are the best place to stay.  They are clean and tidy, but they
are very small (you really have to like the person you are
travelling with!).  There's no radio, TV, or anything else -
but, very centrally located inside the Park.
